When I see someone with Down syndrome I feel Veteran I served my country what did you do shirt. 50 years ago individuals were locked up in institutions and deemed not valuable members of society. So much has changed and continues to change everyday as more research is done, as more resources are available, as more education is shared and most importantly, now that they are seen as people, just like everyone else. My daughter has Down syndrome and was born in November 2014. She had open heart surgery when she was 2 months old.

Best Veteran I served my country what did you do shirt
We went to Boston Children’s Hospital from Veteran I served my country what did you do shirt, not only is that the best hospital in the world for the particular surgery she had, but it was also the first place that performed that surgery on an individual with Down syndrome back in the 80’s. Until then, no one deemed them valuable enough to save their life. I watch my daughter exceed my expectations everyday. She is above average in some areas compared to typical children! Because she is treated like a typical child. She isn’t segregated or pushed aside. The only limits that individuals with Down syndrome have are the ones we put on them. I can speak for myself and a lot of others in the special needs mommy club, in saying that our kids capabilities are limitless!
